Brad Howell

Picture
Brad Howell at  18 years old, was a young man who always thought of others.

His heroes were those that served and he lived that path by serving as a Reservist with the Canadian Forces while going to school and trying to decide between training to become a paramedic, search and rescue tech, or police officer.

He knew that if anything ever happened to him, he would want to be a donor.  As a family we had discussed donation.  Brad had gestured to his body, and said, with that easy smile of his "Mom, it's only a rental".  Three months later, while serving as a Reservist with the Princess Louise Fusiliers,  he died in an accident at the Halifax Armouries.  A much loved son, brother, friend and soldier; and yes, hero.

We, his family, believe that in the lives of those receipients, as they live and love, that there is a legacy.  And we believe that when they laugh, there is an echo to Brad's spirit, and he is smiling.

"Blue skies, Brad"
